The visit, which has been organised by UNESCO, stems from a belief that the commercialisation rates of research and development (R&D) and initiation activity within the country ar lower than is involve if R&D is to play a significant bureau in the future development of the economy. The visit has entailed four geezerhood of meetings with individuals and organisations who have an involvement with and a view about R&D and knowledgeability. These have been designed so that I index gain a greater understanding of the nature, direction and train of the R&D and innovation activity within the country, the outcomes that have emerged/are emerging from this, and the nature of any issues and/or problems that are being faced. The next stage in the project allow be: ? ? The production of a written report for UNESCO; and Proposals for a serial publication of workshops on R&D and innovation.
