For this weeks reading analysis I decided to pull through about whiz of the three Abrahamic religious beliefs that exist in the world, Judaism. commonly what people only know about Judaism, and I hold myself in this, is that it is the religion of the Old Testament, Jesus Christ was natural into it and practiced it his whole life, and that Jews do not accept Jesus, message they are not Christians. Aside from these facts, Judaism contains much more which revolves nigh God, the Torah, and Israel.
In the United States alone, there are approximately 6 million Jews. Jews do not practice a one ethnic group because there are Jews from many antithetic races. However, Jews form a set of ethnic groups, and those who practice Judaism form a religious group. In other words, Judaism is a religion of tout ensemble people, but not all Jews exit to one and the same religion (Neusner 108).
For Jews, their God is the God that created the orbit and the Earth and revealed the Torah to Moses. The Torah is Gods will and word to populace which also includes the ten commandments (108). This word was given to Israel.



In Judaism, Israel substance the children of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob who gathered to receive the Torah from God and also include all of their descendants who accept the Torah. But it can also concern to the land The Land of Israel or the state of Israel (109).
The home of Jews is one important aspect of Judaism. In their homes, a special festivity called a Passover takes place. Families gather around to enjoy what they call a holy meal and tell stories of Exodus. They use bread and vino to symbolically celebrate the liberation of slaves from Pharaohs bondage. The right of circumcision, the festival of Tabernacles, labor union rite, and Hanukkah also takes place in the home as well. Jews unused candles in their homes during the time of Hanukkah.
