Maintaining Academic Honesty

As a learner attending any college it is the scholarly persons responsibility to exert the Student Code of Academic Integrity (SCAI). When a savant chooses to break the SCAI they open up the door to Academic deceit. Academic dishonesty can be defined as the ordain participation that a student partakes in the ability to love on the homework they have chosen to submit in the past and present classes they have attended, that they themselves have non completed.

The pursual factors which have been shown to contribute to academic dishonesty in traditionalistic classrooms: (1) the number of credits taken during the semester, (2) the number of hours spent weekly on the course, (3) the perceived learning as a subject of the course, and (4) the perceived amount of interaction with the instructor, (Black, E., Greaser, J. & Dawson, K., December 2008, p.25). Academic dishonesty is an issue of concern for teachers, students, and institutions of higher education. Because students and faculty do not interact directly in web-based classes, it is often perceived that bearded darnel will be more abundant in these classes, (Grijalva, T., Nowell, C.

What this basically means is that because the students and the instructors are not in the same room day after day, the instructor and the student do not have the ability to properly coalition with each some other as they would in a prevalent college based setting. Given the fact that there is no stick taking place there is also no consecrate either, since the student and the teacher have no reason to effrontery each other this allows for academic dishonesty. Plagiarism is the result of a students misrepresentation of ideas that they cry to be their own when someone else has already claimed the copyright.
