EDP120: INTRODUCTION TO TEACHING ASSESSMENT 1: DOCUMENT ANALYSIS WA DUTY OF CARE POLICY INTRODUCTION: The insurance policy that will be examined is the Western Australia transaction of C be policy. The debt instrument of Care policy has been written and distributed by the Western Australia Department of Education (WADoE). It aims to depict all teaching and non-teaching staff, external providers and volunteers with a definition of concern of Care and equip them with a set of general guidelines and procedures regarding unobjectionable rights, roles and responsibilities when interacting with and supervising students. It also provides a basis for when a Duty of Care is owed and when they may be released from their duty of care to students. WADoE defines Duty of Care as A duty imposed by the law to take care to minimise the risk of deterioration to another. (WADoE (b), 2007, p. 9) The Duty of Care policy has been implemented to make genuine that all students are protected from any injuries occurring which may be prevented with reasonable care. It notes that what comprises reasonable care will differ and expatiate both the ethical and legal ramifications of a breach of this policy.

Although what comprises tenable Care will differ according to various situations, the Duty of Care policy states factors which should be taken into account.
