At first glance, The Battle of the Amazons evoked cutaneous sensess of pain and bedevilment in me. Then, after doing some background work on Peter Paul Rubens, I found out that it depicts a battle of war amidst the Amazon women and the king of Athens. thither was so a great deal pain, agony, and defend going on between the women and men. He painted this picture of the men hauling the barge to show how much they struggle in life and how hard they work.
