The Omnivores Dilemma is a book by Michael Pollan,. In this book, Pollan has put to inducther a well written and enjoyable examination of humans relationship with victuals. The book is non written for any certain type of audience, it is appreciable by all audiences. Pollan begins by foc utilize on a evidently simple question, What should we have for dinner? The answer is not so simple for people like me. The first section of the book demonstrates that nearly everything we require in America is in some way derived from corn. I personally had no high expectations while reading this section, notwithstanding was hoping to get consumed by his theories of corn.
According to Pollan, the processed foods that seem to be a staple of modern living are derived for the most part from corn. Pollan says foods such as eggs, chicken, seek, and beef are essentially derived from corn.
Pollan says cows, chickens, and fish are coerced to consume a food that to them is highly unnatural. If we are what we eat, as Pollan says, we are mostly corn.
