Mission:
Our mission is to tend to meet the needs of Charlottes hungry, helping to eradicate men, women, and children from sack a day without food or a meal. d superstar fresh crops, willing hands, and passionate hearts, we seek to assist a select number of ministries throughout Charlotte in providing hot meals and coming to fresh, much-needed food sources to those who find themselves lacking these basic necessities. In doing so, we reach to assist our neighbors as best as we rear end as they work to overcome the harrowing snares of abject poverty and hunger. It is our fearsome desire to be a light amidst the many saturnine places that individuals in our community find themselves in, giving all we live with to meet their most immediate needs.
Vision:
Our vision can be categorized into ternary different, overarching focal points that complement one an some other to help comprise our ideology that drives us as a nonprofit, grassroots organization.
First, we envision great things happening right-hand(a) here at Queens through our student body, staff, and module as a collective whole.
We will seek to set up either three or four garden plots situated in close proximity to our main campus, where two to three of them will be dedicated to growing ve set forthables and grains, while the other will be dedicated to growing seasonal fruits that fare particularly well here in the climate and footing composition of central North Carolina. With regards to the vegetables/grains plots, we will seek to relent crops that include: soybeans, corn, wheat, sweet potatoes, cucumbers, lima beans, turnip greens, collard greens, mustard greens, peppers, dead reckoning beans, cabbage, eggplant, squash, zucchini, onions, radishes, lettuce, oats, and barley.
