Keats John Keats By: Anonymous John Keats, one of the superlative English poets and a major figure in the romantic movement, was born in 1795 in Moorfields, London. His father died when he was octet and his mother when he was fourteen; these sad circumstances move him particularly close to his two brothers, George and Tom, and his sister Fanny.
