In 1962, the United States Supreme tourist court make a thought on a case that would change the face of American schools forever. For months the Court endlessly debated the pros and cons of either outcome. On June 25 of that year, the Court made its decision, and the class-wide activity of Bible reading was banned. God was no longer welcome in the public school system.
Less than a year later, on June 17, 1963, the same Supreme Court extended that decision and barred government sponsored prayer recitations as wholesome as the Bible reading sessions. Yet, this decision was not as firm as the one affecting the reading of the intelligence service of God. Students and teachers alike were still allowed to pray; they merely had to do it in camera and on their own time.
This country was founded on the statutes of the word of God, and this subvert was dedicated to Him. Yet, byout the years, the U.S. slowly lapsed into a state of matter of apostasy. Each generation rebelling to, and lowering the standards set by their predecessors. However, it may be surprising to learn that centuries before this, Gods chosen people, the Israelites, as well turned their backs on God.
The account was written in 2 Kings 17:15 and 17, which says: And they rejected his statutes and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that were round about them, concerning whom the entitle had charged them, that they should not do like them. And they caused their sons and daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger.(Bible)
