Television, the most influential of all social technologies, has done more harm than good ever since its release in the 1926. Today, television is used for three things: entertainment, news, and education. 2 of the three have fallen into an abyss (news and education). Media stations such as CNN, FOX, and CNNBC, all manipulate the minds of viewers.



One of the most plebeian form of manipulation in news media involve the use of intentional fallacies, propaganda, and emotional catering to get an individual to have at an opinion that is not their own. In October 8, 2007 FOX disperse a picture showing a group of Moslem protesters with large signs saying, America is the cancer, Islam is the answer, kill all non-believers, and Americans are infidels. With attentive examination, one would notice that each sign was written with the similar hand writing, proving that the images were photo shopped then put on television for the entire world to see.
